2027 Silverado 1500 Interior and Tech: Screens, Google Gemini and Super Cruise by Trim
Every 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Work Truck included, comes with a 16.3-inch center touchscreen and a 12.2-inch digital driver display. The High Country and ZR2 go further with a passenger screen, a head-up display and a rear camera mirror, for more than 60 inches of combined displays. Here's what you get in each cab, from the screens and cameras to the materials, explained by the Knudtsen Chevrolet team in Post Falls.
Our 2027 Silverado 1500 overview covers the whole truck, and the trim levels guide lists what each trim costs.
Screens by Trim
All seven trims get two screens, 16.3 inches and 12.2 inches, and the High Country and ZR2 add three more displays.
| Display | Size | Trims |
|---|---|---|
| Center touchscreen | 16.3 in | All seven trims |
| Driver information display | 12.2 in | All seven trims |
| Front passenger screen | 11.5 in | High Country, ZR2 |
| Head-up display | Not released | High Country, ZR2 |
| Rear camera mirror | Not released | High Country, ZR2 |
Putting the big screen in the Work Truck matters if you run a fleet. Every driver gets the same layout, whichever truck they take out of the lot.
Chevrolet hasn't said whether the passenger screen, head-up display or rear camera mirror will be offered on trims other than the High Country and ZR2.
Google Built-In With Gemini
GM's new interface puts three Google services in the dash: Google Gemini, Google Maps and Google Play apps.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are still there if you'd rather use your phone. Work Truck Online reports the system takes over-the-air software updates and uses a split-view home screen. It also changes when you connect a trailer, with trailering information in the driver display and a trailering card on the center screen. Chevrolet includes OnStar Basics as standard for 8 years. Our 2027 Silverado towing guide covers the trailer side of the interface.
Head-Up Display and Rear Camera Mirror
Two trims, the High Country and the ZR2, get both a head-up display and a rear camera mirror.
Both are standard on those two trims along with the 11.5-inch passenger screen, and together they push the High Country and ZR2 past 60 inches of combined displays. The rear camera mirror also counts toward GM's up-to-11 camera total. Chevrolet hasn't released the head-up display's size or what it shows.
Cameras
GM lists up to 11 available cameras, with up to 19 camera views on the ZR2 and Trail Boss.
The list includes Hitch View, the rear camera mirror and underbody cameras. On the ZR2, the front and rear underbody cameras come with a wash system, and GM calls them a segment first. Underbody cameras are available on the Trail Boss. GM notes some views require an accessory camera.
There's also a camera pointed inside. The Cabin Glance interior camera is standard on the High Country and ZR2 and available on the other trims. Chevrolet.com also names the HD Rear Vision Camera and HD Surround Vision among its safety features.
Wireless Charging
Single wireless charging is standard on the Work Truck and Custom, according to AutoGuide, and dual wireless charging for two devices is available.
GM hasn't said which trims get the dual charger. GM Authority attributes it to the ZR2 and High Country.
Multi-Flex Center Console
The available Multi-Flex center console holds about 25 liters, according to KBB.
It's reconfigurable, and it folds flat to make a workspace, which is useful if your truck doubles as your office. On the Silverado Trail Boss, Chevrolet lists it with the front-row bucket seats.
Materials by Trim
Four trims have published interior details so far, and each looks different inside.
Silverado
Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting and a rear power sliding window.
Trail Boss
Seats with fabric accent inserts and a custom perforation pattern, a flat-bottom steering wheel, two interior themes, ambient lighting and a Bose premium 8-speaker system.
High Country
Light and dark themes, real wood, Tritan Satin accents, light gray leather, quilted seat shoulders, debossed head restraints and console, Natural Tan-edged seatbelts, dynamic ambient lighting and available microfiber suede.
ZR2
Real forged carbon-fiber trim on the doors and console, Torch Red accents, Torch Red-edged seatbelts, standard massaging front seats, dynamic ambient lighting, a flat-bottom wheel and logo-debossed headrests.
GM describes the Work Truck as having easy-to-clean interiors, and the Custom gets a driver power seat. The panoramic sunroof, a Silverado first, is standard on the High Country and available on the ZR2, Trail Boss and Silverado. Every Silverado keeps a column shifter, per The Drive.
Seat materials for the Work Truck, Custom, Silverado and Custom Trail Boss are not yet released.
Super Cruise
Super Cruise is standard on 2 trims, the High Country and ZR2, and available on the Silverado and Trail Boss.
It's GM's hands-free driver assistance system, and GM says it works on about 630,000 miles of compatible North American roads. For 2027 it adds a 3D view of traffic, lane markings and objects. It also works with a trailer up to 13,600 pounds, with Lane Change on Demand and Automatic Lane Change turned off while towing. Standard Super Cruise includes 3 years of the OnStar One plan, and after that you'll need an active Super Cruise plan.
