2022 Chevrolet Blazer Overview
The 2022 Chevrolet Blazer continues to be a popular model at the Spokane Valley Chevrolet dealer. Blazer owners appreciate this midsize SUV’s sporty exterior styling, attractive cabin, and roomy seats. The Blazer’s poised handling and accurate steering assure that driving will be a fun experience every time you get behind the wheel. The Blazer provides drivers with lots of room for cargo, so you can carry everything from a full load of groceries to sporting equipment.
The Blazer gets some noteworthy changes for 2022. The standard engine is now the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit. All-wheel-drive models with this engine now get the Trailering package as standard equipment. It’s available in front-wheel-drive models. Two new metallic paint colors, Nitro Yellow and Blue Glow, join the lineup of hues. All trims except the Premier have an optional two-tone roof. According to the Spokane Valley Chevy dealer, the Premier now has an available Enhanced Convenience package that adds a power-adjustable steering column, driver’s seat memory settings, ventilated front seats, heated outboard rear seats, and a Bose premium audio system with eight speakers.
The automotive media gives the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer thumbs up, with Edmunds writing: “Sleek and stylish, the 2022 Blazer is Chevy’s five-passenger midsize SUV that competes against rivals such as the Honda Passport and the Hyundai Santa Fe. This is the Chevy SUV to get if you find the Traverse too big or the Equinox too small. The Blazer’s chiseled, Camaro-like styling could be a bonus too.”
The Blazer seats five passengers and comes in four trim levels, listed as 2LT, 3LT, RS and Premier. All trims except the RS are equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 228 horses and 258 lb-ft of torque. Buyers looking for more power can choose the 3.6-liter V6 that’s standard in the RS and available in the other models. It generates 308 hp and 270 lb-ft. Both powerplants are connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission, with standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive.
The 2022 Chevrolet Blazer’s maximum towing capacity is 4,500 pounds with the V6 and 1,500 pounds with the base turbo-four. Fuel economy is rated at up to an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city/29 mpg highway.*
The base Blazer 2LT trim comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, cloth seating, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control and a rearview camera. The Blazer’s standard infotainment system features an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a stereo system with six speakers, satellite radio and four USB ports. Options include an integrated navigation system, an eight-speaker Bose premium audio setup, a Wi-Fi hot spot and a wireless phone charger.
Advanced safety features that come standard include forward collision warning, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, the Teen Driver system and Rear Seat Reminder.
