2019 Chevrolet Equinox Trim Levels
The 2019 Chevrolet Equinox is a compact crossover that wins adherents at Chevrolet dealers all over the country, including the Pinehurst Chevrolet dealership. The Equinox seats five and offers buyers excellent handling, outstanding fuel efficiency and a price that’s lower than most competing crossovers. There are a number of new features for 2019, including an all-new Infotainment 3 interface and a host of driver assist technologies.
According to the Chevrolet dealership in Pinehurst, the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in four trim levels: L, LS, LT and Premier. All models get standard front-wheel drive and all but the base L trim have optional all-wheel drive. The Equinox gets a standard turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque, teamed to a six-speed automatic transmission. Equinox L
The Equinox L trim is special-order only, which means that buyers will have a wait while the L is being custom built. Although the L is the base trim, it comes with a nice list of standard features, including 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, an engine stop-start system, keyless entry and ignition, heated mirrors, height-adjustable front seats, a driver information display, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel and a rearview camera. Also standard are OnStar with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker stereo system, a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Parents of young drivers will appreciate the standard Teen Driver system.
Equinox LS
The Equinox LS trim starts with the features of the L trim and adds a spare tire and jack as well as rear floor mats. LS buyers can choose more exterior colors than are offered with the L, as well as the LS Convenience package, which comes with rear privacy glass and a power driver’s seat.
Equinox LT
Buyers who opt for the LT or Premier trims can choose one of two available engines: a turbocharged 2.0-liter unit that generates 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission, or a 1.6-liter diesel engine that puts out 137 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque, connected to a six-speed automatic. Standard features for the LT include xenon headlights, satellite radio, an upgraded information screen and the features of the LS Convenience package. The available engines come with roof rails and a sunroof, while the 2.0-liter engine also gets 18-inch wheels. Three option packages are available: The Lights and Brights package, the Infotainment package, and the Confidence and Convenience package.
Equinox Premier
The upper Equinox Premier trim comes with most of the features of the LT’s optional packages, plus 18-inch wheels, auto-dimming mirrors, LED headlights and taillights, roof rails, fog lights, a hands-free liftgate, ambient interior lighting, chrome exterior trim, perforated leather seats, memory settings for the driver seat and wireless device charging. With the 2.0-liter engine, the Premier comes with 19-inch wheels. Option packages available for the Premier trim include the Confidence and Convenience II package and The Sun, Sound and Navigation package.
